Rebates Update
As you all know at the end of each quarter we pay the product rebates directly to you for any jobs you have submitted.
We have been reviewing our process and to aid simplification have decided that moving forward rebates will only be paid out once there is £50 or more due.
Anything below this will roll over to the next quarter. If there are any questions or concerns around this please reach out to us.

This month we wanted to give a big shout out to Billy Milligan and the guys at World Solar and Greenguard Insulation. Here are just a few examples of the SF19+ under rafter installs that they have recently submitted.

We’ve Been Officially Certified by KIWA BDA
As you all know at the end of each quarter we pay the product rebates directly to you for any jobs you have submitted.
We’ve got a brilliant new development to share with you about our product certifications — we have officially achieved KIWA BDA Agrément certification for our internal wall insulation system!
This is a huge milestone in our ongoing efforts to ensure the highest quality standards for our products; it reflects the rigorous testing and refinement that we go through to provide you with the very best insulation solutions with confidence.

Attaining this certification has given us a brilliant opportunity to look back upon the path that led us to this point, all beginning with the decision to develop local production facilities for our products. That decision has led to a lot of work for us, but we aren’t complaining. After all, we’ve reaped plenty of benefits too…
Enhanced Sustainability: allowing us to really work toward Net Zero
Superior Product Quality: thanks to the developments we’ve made in our new production facility
Continuous Growth: allowing us to support our local economy by creating more jobs
We are committed to continuously improving our products and processes to better serve our customers.

Time to Update Your Compliance Data and Accreditations!!
As the market for funded work opens up to us with our Agrément we want to be aware of what businesses on the programme can take on this kind of work and support those who would like to.
This means getting the necessary policies, procedures and qualifications in place.
We realise many of you will answer no to a majority of the questions but it will highlight any areas where we can support.
Please follow the link below to submit all the required information.
Reviewing Your Submitted Projects
Recently it became apparent that the View Previous Projects link on the website was not working.
This should be up and running again now but if you continue to find any problems please get in touch.
Remember, when you submit a job the technical team will leave vital feedback which can help you grow and improve as a SuperFOIL Approved Installer so please take the time to review the feedback left, and if you would like to discuss it any further Andy or Tom in the Technical team would be happy to explain more.
Our New Account Management Team
We’ve had a bit of a restructure up here at SuperFOIL HQ and our external sales team has now become our Account management team with some lovely new faces for you all.
The AM team will be office based but still here to offer you all the support you may need. They will be your first port of call when you’re trying to source some stock, they are experts in finding the best price from the most reliable merchant in your area!
The team have excellent product knowledge and are happy to help you submitting technical enquires and jobs that you have done. You will be assigned an account manager based on your location, so lets meet the team!

Technical Corner with Andy and Tom
The thing about mineral wool is…
We get a lot of questions about whether it’s okay to install our insulation at rafter level while keeping the existing insulation down on the loft floor.
Here’s the thing: usually, both we and building control suggest choosing either rafter level or ceiling level insulation—not both. Why? Because insulating both levels mostly just keeps the loft warm, not your actual living space. Plus, it increases the risk of condensation forming in the loft void.
Let’s say you’ve already got insulation on the ceiling (loft floor). That means the loft space naturally stays cooler than the rooms below. If you then add insulation at rafter level, that cooler loft air can cause water vapour to condense on the inside of the new insulation—especially if there’s no proper ventilation.
On the flip side, if you add more insulation at the rafter level than you have at the ceiling, sure, you reduce condensation risk—but now that original ceiling insulation isn’t really doing much anymore.
If you’re planning to leave the ceiling insulation in place, just be careful not to block or mess with the loft’s airflow. Good ventilation is key to reducing condensation risk. That said, if air is getting in below the new insulation (like SuperFOIL), it’ll weaken the thermal performance, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Now, installing insulation at rafter level can make your loft cleaner and brighter, which is a bonus. But just be aware—there’s still a pretty good chance you’ll get some condensation forming underneath.
So before you jump into the install, we really recommend chatting with our technical team. They can walk you through the details, help with U-value calculations, and make sure you’re getting the most out of your setup.

This is an example of an install where the amount of mineral wool left on the loft floor would cause a significant condensation risk.
When there is this much mineral wool present we would recommend reducing it to 50mm, 75mm at the very maximum.

This is an example of a small amount of mineral wool remaining on the loft space with a neat and well sealed installation of SF19+.
If you are installing SuperFOIL with mineral wool in the loft space, this is the ideal.
However, while having mineral wool at just 50mm deep ensures no risk of condensation forming, SuperFOIL installed on its own with no mineral wool present would be our recommended solution; because insulating at rafter level means the whole property benefits from the thermal efficiency of the product.
If it is not feasible to remove the mineral wool our thicker products will mitigate the risk of condensation forming up to a maximum of 150mm, at which point multiple layers would need to be used.
If there are any further questions around this please reach out us at technical@superfoil.co.uk or call us on 01636 639 900.
We look forward to hearing from you
Andy & Tom
That’s all from us for now!
Remember the Lincoln training session is still available on May 14th.
If you need anything in the mean time please feel free to get in touch.
