Works to include insulation to the side elevations and the daughter’s bedroom on all three sides, as well as the box room. An estimated 40 m² of Celotex insulation will be required, with an allowance of 10% for wastage.

100mm insulation will be installed behind the walls and securely fixed using string restraint to prevent condensation tracking and movement over time. Existing floorboards will be carefully lifted and reused where possible to help reduce costs.

Timber 4×2 bracing will be installed where required to provide adequate structural support.

All existing insulation within the roof pitch will be fully removed. New insulation will be installed to 300mm depth across all floor areas, with a fully boarded raised platform constructed to accommodate 270mm loft insulation without compression.

SuperFoil insulation will be installed to the eaves and remaining loft spaces. Care will be taken to ensure eaves ventilation is maintained and not blocked.

70mm Celotex will be installed at the eaves with a clear ventilation air gap, which is essential to allow airflow, prevent condensation build-up, and protect the roof structure.
